Alta Sierra, CA — Nancy Woods of Alta Sierra has found no takers for her free 19 inch color television with built-in VCR after advertising the item on the popular local call KNCO radio show Swap Shop.

“It’s free, ” said Ms. Davies of Tammy Way in a Gish Gallop phone Interview. “It’s in perfect working order, and I’ll even throw in my collection of Mama’s Family tapes. That Vicki Lawrence is a real talent.”

Swap Shop is a 6-day per week radio show, where local Nevada County residents call in to offer items for sale. Items range from appliances, nick-knacks, baby items and reprocessed nuclear waste. According to its producers, it’s an effective way for people to hold virtual yard sales and it is one of KNCO’s most popular shows.

“We’ve got so much crap around this house,” proclaimed a somewhat irritated Jim Woods. “Nancy holds onto everything. She says, ‘it will be worth something someday.'”

Swap Shop is on the air Monday Friday and Saturdays on KNCO 830 AM in Grass Valley. The show provides chuckles and giggles throughout most of the greater Western Nevada County region.
